Return of the Kween

Hello,
It’s me. You’ve been wondering what have I been up to in my one year (but really two-year) hiatus.

Before I get into all of that, take two seconds to follow me on Instagram and Twitter (@KweenPhotos) so you can stay up to date on what I’m up to and new photography.

Have you done it….?
 I’ll wait…
Okay great!
So since they last time I was posting regularly, I graduated college (woohoo). Took a two week trip to Lagos and London, moved back home and made my room more “adult” (video coming soon), and then started working full time.  And that’s pretty much 2015.

I brought in 2016 with my cousins in Atlanta, which was a lot of fun. It was a very YOLO trip but I just could not do that “same old” thang for NYE and I’m so glad I didn’t. I mean I still brought in the New Year at church (African PK life) but at least is was a different church haha. Not as popping as DC but definitely could see myself living there #ForTheCulture

Cousins in ATL

A few weeks later I made my first real adult vacation to San Francisco. It was less vacation and more adventure, though. Loved SF instantly and would move there if I was offered a job there #shamelessplug #BlackTechie #WomenInBusiness #WomenInTech lol but I digress….
Celebrated my 23rd birthday in an uneventful manner, spent 4th of July in Philly (and Atlantic City) and quit my Big 4 job in September!
After leaving, I spent Q4 of 2016 interning in The Obama White House which you would have known if you were following me on Insta.
Obviously, Q4 2016 takes the cake.  As much as I would like to write a cutesy post on my experience there, no amount of writing could do that experience any justice. I  did, however, jot down notes from various leaders I encountered while there. I’ll be posting that soon (already typed them up!)
So what am I up to now?
After the internship, I spent time looking for a new full-time gig and obviously working on re-launching this site/working on my portfolio. Check out the new Portfolio page 😉  And well to see what else I’m
up to, you’ll just have to stick around to find out! 🙂 See you next week.
